IFPI launches global resource tracking COVID-19 aid and information for the global music industry

Access IFPI’s ‘Global Music Industry COVID-19 Response Tracker’ here

IFPI, the organisation that represents the recorded music industry worldwide, has today launched its Global Music Industry COVID-19 Response Tracker, a website collating information on aid initiatives and other resources for those in the music community impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The website currently hosts information on measures from over 120 organisations and companies, spanning over 35 countries, announced in recent weeks by music industry bodies, record labels, governments, the live sector, digital service providers and more. Users can search information at national and global levels. The site will be continuously updated as more measures are announced.

Frances Moore, chief executive of IFPI, said: “We have launched this website today to provide a global overview of the many support packages and aid measures established to support those in the music community affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“While it is too soon to know the full impact of COVID-19 on the global music industry, we have been heartened to see such a strong response from all sectors. We hope that this website provides a useful resource for everyone in the music community as the industry navigates the coming months and we will continue to update it as more measures are announced.”
