IFPI has announced its support for the ‘Global Goal Live’ campaign launched today by Global Citizen.
The worldwide campaign aims to secure funding for the UN’s sustainable development goals in order to end extreme poverty and tackle climate change. Global Goal Live will work to activate citizens, governments and businesses in the build up to a global event taking place on 26th September 2020.
IFPI, along with its member companies, is officially supporting the campaign.
Frances Moore, IFPI’s chief executive said: “We are proud to support the Global Goal Live campaign and believe it has the potential to bring about real change for the world’s poorest countries.
“The music community has a strong track record of uniting at key moments in aid of important causes and once again we have the opportunity to use our powerful global voice.
“We look forward to working alongside Global Citizen 2020 on this campaign.”
