IFPI welcomes new director of its European office

IFPI recently appointed Lodovico Benvenuti as Director of its European Office. Lodovico represented Mediaset in Brussels for 11 years and takes up his new role on 1 June.

IFPI Chief Executive Frances Moore commented:

"I'm delighted that Lodovico has agreed to join us. He has extensive experience working with the EU institutions on many of the issues close to the recording industry. I have witnessed his professionalism and dynamism first hand and have every confidence he will be a fantastic leader of our Brussels team.

Lodovico Benvenuti said:

"Over the last decade in Brussels I have worked in the same environment as the IFPI team and so I'm taking on this role with a sense of immense excitement. Europe's current legislative landscape presents many challenges and opportunities for the recorded music industry and I'm looking forward to contributing to an even more vibrant, fair and exciting marketplace for music lovers across Europe."
